... For the People had a Mind to Work! “... For the People had a Mind to Work!”

"So we built the wall; and all the wall was joined together [...]; for the people had a mind to work." - Nehemiah 4:6. The Turner Chapel Family would like to announce that our sanctuary is near completion! This past Sunday, we had services in our brand new sanctuary and it was a spiritual experience. Having services in our fellowship hall proved to be an exciting experience, but it was more exciting being back in our sanctuary. When people said we couldn't, GOD said we could and we did. Our 7-year project has come to fruition. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Rev. Ray A. Jackson & his construction company for all of their hard work in making this a reality. We truly believe that he was a GOD send. GOD had a purpose for him in Greenwood, MS, and we have a brand new church that shows it. He did a marvelous job on our church, and we thank him for it. We would also like to thank all of the members who contributed to this project in some form or fashion, wheither you donated your time or you donated your funds, you helped to make this project a success. Our building has grown, and now it's time for our "church" to grow, spiritually and physically. Praise GOD from whom all blessings flow!

The Women of the Turner Chapel Family would like to send out a word of thanks to everyone who attended, supported, and participated in our Annual Women's Day on Sunday, May 16th. The theme was "Blessings through Obedience". The theme verse came from Leviticus 26 : 3,9 - "If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands...I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my convenant with you". We were blessed with a powerful message by a dynamic speaker, the Rev. Glenell Lee-Pruitt. The singing was inspirational, the atmosphere was sensational, and our spirits were passionately high. It is our prayer that everyone was richly blessed by something that they heard or something that they saw. We would like to thank you all again for making this program a success.
